The Times strikes again

И The Hurt Locker есть, дааааааа!!!

An Education
"Anchored by a very strong performance from newcomer Casey Mulligan, whose her self-assurance is so pronounced it seems to permeate the whole film, infusing it with authority. As you see her skipping from scene to scene, eyes twinkling with mischief, you are in no doubt that a star being born. If she isn’t nominated for an Oscar I’ll eat my hat" – Toby Young

Anvil! The Story of Anvil
"One of the most engaging, big-hearted music movies yet made. It’s an emotional journey for the audience, one that is as likely to have them weeping with laughter as it is to have them welling up over the bitter disappointments of the men it follows. A heart-lifting story about following an impossible dream" – Wendy Ide

“The film combines stunning visuals — there are scenes of incredible beauty — with good old-fashioned storytelling that is funny, inventive and at times scary. The 3-D effects are used with great restraint and Coraline is the best young heroine we’ve had in ages. Destined to be a classic” – Cosmo Landesman

The Cove
"In a hidden cove near the Japanese town of Taiji, thousands of dolphins are killed every year for meat. This goes on unbeknown to many Japanese, but not to the owners of marine theme parks around the world, who come to pick the best specimens before the rest are slaughtered.
A rattling good yarn told without stinting on reportage" – Edward Porter

Encounters at the End of the World
"Werner Herzog loves extremes as a compass loves North. And there’s something about being here in Antarctica, in the nightless day at the very end of things, that encourages speculation about the absolute. A testament to the questing individuality, boundless curiosity and sheer bloody-minded oddness of Man" – Dominic Wells

"A historical fraud, a mind-boggling travesty of the truth. Let me hasten to add, however, that it is without doubt the most gripping, entertaining, dramatically clever and fascinating fraud I’ve ever seen" – Cosmo Landesman

The Hurt Locker
“Director Kathryn Bigelow plants the viewer directly into the dizzying, often terrifying, heart of the action for two solid hours, with little respite. The effect is visceral, mesmerising, and emotionally draining. It is shellshock in a bottle" – Kevin Maher

The Red Shoes
"Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger’s 1948 film thoroughly deserves the attentive restoration it has undergone (the cue for this rerelease). The rich colours of its flamboyant set pieces now look better than ever" – Edward Porter

Star Trek
"Just when you thought that the Star Trek phenomenon had truly run its course, along comes J. J. Abrams’s stunning prequel to resuscitate the most enduring franchise in sci-fi history. Veteran Trekkers had no right to expect such a dazzling and beautiful rebirth. The movie looks gorgeous" – Debra Craine

The Wrestler
"In Darren Aronofsky’s unsentimental portrait of crippled aspirations and the acute loneliness of failure, Mickey Rourke is quite simply magnificent as the fading 1980s wrestling star Randy “The Ram” Robinson" – Wendy Ide
